Security

Security

Halifax Shopping Centre’s Security works 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for our customers.   The Security department has 13 full-time security officers, two supervisors and one manager.  Along with close circuit television surveillance, and crime prevention and intervention, our security personal is responsible for:

  • Assisting customers with locations of vehicles;
  • Providing first aid for injuries or illnesses.  Our security staff are trained in CPR, First Aid and use of on-site defibrillators;
  • Locating lost children;
  • Operating a lost and found property program
  • Ensuring personal safety through escorts and constant, uniformed patrols using a marked security vehicle and bike seasonal bicycle patrols;
  • Providing battery boosts. (Security can assist in directly all other vehicle problems to a tow truck company.)

Our Security acts as an important link to Halifax Regional Police and other emergency services that may be required at Halifax Shopping Centre.   If you require security assistant, please visit their office on the upper level next to Roots.  Customer Service, located on the lower level across from La Senza, can also contact them for you.
