The set of four books is created to cultivate confidence, joyfulness, and fluency in reading. This particular set of short stories will assist in the expansion of a variety of reading skills for the beginning reader and for those students where reading is a challenge, such as directed text review, recall, reading comprehension, and vocabulary development. An emphasis has also been placed on recognizing consonants, vowels (including double vowel sounds), making predictions, and word rhyming.
